FULL-LENGTH CD “INSPIRED”
Denise shares her views on life and love in her originals and interpretations of traditionals such as “THE WATER IS WIDE”. She also offers her own styling of the Zombies’ classic “SHE’S NOT THERE”.
With her sound in the good hands of engineers Patrick O’Rourke and Larry Moser, listeners will be able to appreciate Denise’s crystal clear voice and rich acoustic guitar. Patrick and Larry also played on some tracks as well as fellow Long Island musicians; Lora Kendall, Robert Langley, Charlie Mingoia, Bill Davis, and Matt Zebrowksi. Some backing vocals were provided by the infamous “Me, Myself and I Sisters”. 🙂
Denise’s songs are known to tug at the heartstrings-especially “TEACHER” (inspired by her role as elementary Music Teacher) and “PASSING THE TORCH” (inspired by her role as Mom to her son). She also offers the gentle, “LETTING GO”, encouraging us to release the fears that hold us back from living our lives fully. “A HEALING ANGEL”, Denise’s previously released CD Single makes an appearance on this CD, continuing to offer comfort to aching hearts.

A HEALING ANGEL – CD Single
Denise explains,
“A Healing Angel” was ‘Divinely delivered’ to me in the fall of ’04, almost in its entirety. I simply became aware of this sweet melody and soothing words…. jotted them down and polished them up. (When things like this happen, I don’t spend much time questioning – instead, I experience a sense of gratitude and acceptance.)
Within weeks, it became clear why this song appeared when it did: a colleague suffered a tragic loss and as I was writing out a sympathy card, I decided to include some of the words to this song as a message of comfort. No sooner had that thought arrived, when a flood of others followed, which led to my recording the song with some other colleagues to present as a gift to her. When she heard the song she ‘wanted the whole world to hear it’, and so, it is now available as a ‘musical greeting card’ to give as a gift of comfort, encouragement, support or hope.”
